United States: The campaign spending reports are basically a point in time report, particularly at this stage of the campaigns where many are receiving campaign contributions.

The imbalance is reflected in ad expenditure, where AdImpact data reveal candidates and committees outlaying more than triple the amount spent by opponents across television, OTT, radio, and websites.

As reported by the HealthDay, on all seven of the ballot initiatives that have been put before the electorate since the U.S. Supreme Court decision that struck down Roe v. Wade that was fatal in 2022 which entitled a nation-wide right to abortion and paved the way for the bans and restrictions that are now being policed in most Republican-controlled states.

Almost all of it is going to Florida.

Of all the states involved in the abortion ballot-measure campaigns this year, Florida stands as the giant.

Supporters of the measure have garnered more than $75million and the opponents $10 million. Merged collectively it equals nearly half of the national average.

The state Republican Party and corporate money from across the country more are being used to urge the voters not to allow the measure to pass. Adding to all that, supporters again appear dominant in advertising spend by $60m to $27m.

Tuesday’s total spend is approximately on par with the entire state’s spend on the U.S. Senate race.

The move would repeal a law that prohibits most abortions after the first six weeks of pregnancy – a time when women may not even realize they are pregnant – that Governor Ron DeSantis, a Republican, signed earlier this year and came into force in May. In DeSantis’ administration, moves to prevent the campaign for the amendment have been made.

Florida’s ballot measure rules give opponents a boost: Removal also needs the approval of the 60% of the voters as opposed to an outright majority.

Then, funding arrives in large numbers within the South Dakota.

South Dakota is an exception – it provides almost four times more funding than such groups need.

According  to  an Associated Press Analysis of state campaign disclosures and they have almost raised about 2 million dollars which is compared with the  abortion right supporters 1 million dollar.

Also there was a big change last week when the abortion-rights group Dakotans for Health which is reported that it has received almost 540,000 million dollar from Think Big America and a fund launched by the Illinois Gov. Jay Pritzker and a Democrat The fund’s director, Mike Ollen said that’s helping ads get seen more widely in what could be a close race.

Before that, national abortion-rights groups, including the Planned Parenthood Federation of American, had mostly ignored South Dakota because they said the ballot measure didn’t make it through and it will allow the restrictions on the abortions for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy if they relate to the health of the woman.
